Biography

I currently work as the Vice-principal of the second largest high school in the province.  Prior to this assignment, I was Vice-Principal of an innovative prek-8 community school in Regina, Saskatchewan.  Before that, I worked as and Instruction and School Services School Based Consultant providing support to 8 schools in the areas of literacy, numeracy, inclusion, assessment, teacher support and administrative support.  I have been the principal of a k-12 school and a k-8 school, vice-principal of a k-12 school all in rural Saskatchewan. I have taught grades k-12 in various urban and rural schools across Saskatchewan in both French Immersion and English programs.

I have served in several executive positions on and was a founding member of the Saskatchewan Cheerleading Association.  I coached elementary, high school and professional cheerleading for over 15 years.

I have my black belt in Kempo and represented Sasktachewan at the Karate Nationals in Ottawa in 2002.  I was an amateur kickboxer with the WKA, had 11 ring fights and was the WKA  Canadian Golden Gloves Welterweight Female Champion in 2001.

I am also a provincial judge for Gymnastics Saskatchewan.

I am the mother of two energetic, brilliant, beautiful girls and, with the support of my patient husband, try to provide them with every possible opportunity to develop and nurture their strength, passion, confidence, self-esteem and of course, their sense of wonder and desire to learn!
